Midlands Cat Fanciers' is a Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc. member club based in Omaha,
Nebraska with members
from several surrounding states. Omaha is the largest city in
the state of Nebraska and is the county seat of Douglas County, with
a population of 427,872. Omaha is located at the junction of I-80,
I-480, I-680, I-29 and US Route 75 providing easy access from
Kansas, Iowa, Missouri as well as Nebraska.
Eppley Airfield, Omaha's airport
located on the east side of the city, is served by United, Southwest, US, Continental, Northwest, Delta, Midwest, American, Frontier, ExpressJet, and Mesa Airlines with direct and connecting service.
Omaha's historic downtown area known as the
Old Market
boasts an incredible
history of its own. The entire twelve city blocks that it rests on
are recognized by the National Register of Historical Places.
Today its warehouses and other buildings house shops, restaurants,
bars, and
art galleries.
MCF holds annual shows at the Elkhorn Common Ground Community Center, just 12.5 miles from downtown Omaha in Elkhorn NE which was annexed by Omaha in 2005.
